BLEMISHES and BEAUTY ROUTINES

You may have had problems concealing acne with makeup. Makeup is an art form for some. Some people use makeup to hide blemishes. Many teenagers will experience marks during their teenage years.

It is possible to have superficial blemishes that can interfere with a person’s flawless makeup. It is difficult to hide redness or acne, but not impossible. The bumps that you have on your face will not be covered by a simple foundation or concealer. You will need to use other products or tactics for acne-prone skin if you want a natural, full coverage. Acne-prone skin is difficult to manage, and it can affect a person deeply. Acne has a huge impact on a person’s self-esteem. Acne can make it difficult for a person to be bare-faced in public. It can also lead to people using makeup to make themselves feel better. It may cause them to try to hide their flaws using makeup. I was once one of these people who tried to hide my acne with any product or tip.

My makeup covered all of my facial features except my blemishes when I attended my educational institution. Due to the number of products I used, I could not achieve a natural-looking makeup routine. Some people wonder if adding more products to your face will improve coverage.

Theoretically, this could help cover blemishes. More products would give a “caked-on” look to a person. When I was 11, I had acne. Around the age of 12, I started to apply makeup to my skin. My face looked “caked” in my early years. When I sweated, it appeared like melting wax. As I got older, I discovered many modern methods to treat my acne.

Anyone can hide those annoying bumps with the right products and techniques. I have personally incorporated new products and tactics into my daily makeup routine. By doing so, I was able to achieve a full-coverage look using minimal makeup. I’ve learned how to use makeup that works best for me. What works for one person might not work well for another. It was difficult to hide my bumps, and I became less confident. You must understand your skin before you apply anything to your face.

In the winter, my skin becomes more dry and scaly, giving acne a more scabby appearance. Prior to applying foundation, I intensified my moisturizing routine and primed my skin. It is only one of many discoveries that I have made over the years. Below are the steps I used to achieve a full-coverage look on my acne-prone skin with minimal makeup. The steps also include product suggestions to make the process more detailed.

  1. Start by moisturizing your skin. Before priming, moisturizing can help nourish the skin. Tatcha Water Cream Moisturizer is a superb moisturizer that I use. This product, although expensive, provides a poreless look and is oil-free. In the sense that makeup shouldn’t clog pores, minimizing pores can help reduce acne.
  2. Set your face with setting powder after that to seal in moisture. KVD Vegan Beauty Lock It setting powder is a great setting powder that I use. This setting powder gives a light finish and a matte finish to the skin. This powder with a light coverage helps limit the amount of makeup that is applied to your face. This powder also helps to conceal the redness.
  3. Use your setting spray to spread it across your face. Hold the spray bottle a few inches from your face. Move the spray bottle up above your head, with the tip facing a lateral direction. You don’t want to saturate your face with the product. You lightly spray it. Urban Decay All-Nighter is my personal favorite setting spray. This setting spray is lightweight and absorbs oil that may cause acne. Wait for the setting sprays to dry.
  4. Apply primer to the skin. Smash Box Photo Finish Primer is excellent for reducing redness on the face. This will conceal acne on your skin.
  5. The next step is freestyle. You can now continue with your normal foundation and concealer routine. Use the foundation or concealer which works best for your skin type. Fenty Beauty Soft Matte Long Wear Foundation is what I personally use. It provides full coverage with a matte finish. The foundation’s full coverage conceals all blemishes. The Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer gives a natural-looking finish to concealer. This concealer has a medium coverage and will help to conceal acne.
  6. After you have completed all the steps, you can set your foundation using a setting powder and add any other steps to your facial makeup routine. You can use bronzer or highlighter. Use the spray setting one more time. You are done!

Here are a few products and tips that I’ve incorporated into my daily makeup routine. My makeup looks more natural and flawless than it did in the past. These techniques and products allowed me to conceal my blemishes while still maintaining a natural look. Use the tips that are most effective for you. Every person’s skin, and even acne, behaves differently. Find out what works for you. What I found to be effective might not be for you. Life is about learning from mistakes. My makeup would look like a melting wax candle if I didn’t try new products or tricks. You can still feel beautiful even if you have acne. If you are a makeup artist who enjoys the art, then these steps can guide you. This is a makeup regimen that you can use for a long time. It’s just a matter of baking and waiting.
