A change in season calls for a change in trends and with autumn having finally arrived, below we thought we'd round up our top three trends to try for the season ahead.
HOODIES AND SWEATS
If you're into feeling comfy AF then you’ll be super pumped to know that hoodies and sweats this season, are in. Totally in! No, really, they were on every street corner at Paris Fashion Week and this season you don’t even need to be an off-duty model to wear one. Of course there are super cheap hoodies and sweats on the market, however won’t it pay dividends to your wardrobe if you buy a luxe one that will last you seasons to come!? Plus you might not feel as 'bummy' in it when you step outside. Do you get what we mean?
Try: buying a sweat slightly oversized and throwing on a pair of leggings, or layer a hoodie under a bomber for ultimate warmth (and to up the fashionable comfy factor too).
Flash Gordon Sweat, P.E Nation - $139.00
Dr. J Hoodie P. E Nation - $159.00
C&M Logo Hoodie - $179
Forget letting your shoes fade into the background. This autumn it’s time to let them shine – literally. You see, metallic hues are in and they’re here to stay. Plus, realistically they are easier to work into your outfit than bright colours anyway, so they’ll be perfect with whatever shades you're wearing.
Try: wearing hints of glitter, a splash of gold or go all out and wear an entire bootie or heel in metallic instead.
Macgraw Ophelia Slide - $525
Dixie, Silver Department of Finery - $199.95
After years of being looked down on and laughed at, mum jeans are a thing again. (However it is also the sad reality that not everybody can pull these off.) Technically they’re a high waist straight leg style that is a tad bit frumpy. If you’re long and lean then they’ll totally be the style for you. Everybody else – tread with caution.
Try: tucking in a blouse to accentuate an hourglass figure, wearing a darker denim for a more polished look or pairing with sneakers for a super relaxed feel.
Bessette Jean, Nobody Denim - $239.00
