Our June Edit: Everything We're Obsessed With This Month

We've hit the halfway mark on 2017 Muses! Can you believe it? It's officially time to rug up, layer on a million things and Netflix/online shop the next few months away until the warm weather makes a come back.

But first, let's chat about the stuff our team will be obsessed with for the month ahead! What have you been loving? Let us know below XO

BRAND

How hard is it not to love Camilla and Marc. An Aussie brand that has been a best seller since it landed in our store! Established in 2003 by siblings Camilla Freeman-Topper and Marc Freeman, CAMILLA AND MARC is an independent, family owned and run, Australian luxury fashion brand. It offers high-end design and construction with a simplicity in design that allows the wearer to shine through. We're loving their luxe track pants now that it's getting cold. Both super comfy and stylish and can easily be worn inside the house as well as out - you feel?!

Camilla and Marc Shawn Pant - $199.00

Camilla and Marc Holton Pant - $199.00

SHOP

Dylan Kain The Evangelista Tote - $490.00

The ultimate carry all for all of your things. We’re obsessed with this bag this month. Not only is it an elegant signature style that will be super hard to date but it can fit everything into it from your laptop to a pair of sneakers. What’s not to love.

P.E Nation Grid Iron Crop - $109.00

If you are anything like me an are scared of colour then you’ll be in luck with some of the new goods coming out strong from our beloved fave. active wear label, P.E Nation, because they’re finally getting in on the neutral shades. Plus, I even like my active wear to be sleek and colour free which is why this neutral crop is my jam. However, you can also add colour when pop this on underneath. It’ll go with everything!

FOOD

Pulp Kitchen Ainslie

Hasn’t Pulp Kitchen in Ainslie ben a favourite for years! It’s especially been a regular go-to for Alicia who was more than sad when it she found out the owners were selling it. But alas, it’s back!

“It was sad to hear that owners Danny and Nathan were selling, but it was all made ok when I heard Pulp Kitchen in Ainslie has been bought by Gus Armstrong of Eighty Six!

“He’s given the local bistro a fresh new look and a menu that continues to pay homage to Pulp Kitchens name as a European style bistro. The dishes are a little more traditional than the ones you will find at Eighty Six but still with a modern twist.  You will receive the same friendly, attentive and knowledgeable service you find at Eighty Six, but the restaurant overall has a much more laid back, relaxed and local feel, not as loud and crazy as Eighty Six. Our fave. dishes are the Duck Tortellini, Lamb Rack, Steak Frites, Risotto and Lemon Tart.

RANDOM OTHER STUFF

The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A F#ck by Mark Manson

So this book is Instagram famous which is the reason I bought it. Mark Manson also happens to be a really good writer and the title is pretty much my life so I thought the book would speak to my soul. And it’s ok. A lot of the words on the pages ring true and will genuinely question the values you hold near and dear to you although I found it was written from a very pessimistic point of view. To give you an example his first chapter is called ‘stop trying’. I’ll finish reading it though because he makes some good points, but in my opinion, this book should be taken with a grain of salt. Still though...it's fun and very modern day.

ABC War on Waste

Ok, so this is a three part series on the ABC and it's so freakin' interesting. The premise behind it is to see whether Australia as a nation can reduce our waste. Think stop buying coffees, saying no to plastic bags, reducing what you buy etc.. Worth a watch.

Embrace Documentary Screening

Georgia from GH Nutrition and Jemma Mrdak from A Stylish Moment are hosting a screening of Taryn Brumfitt's body positive documentary Embrace at Palace Cinemas. We're pretty sure tickets have almost sold out, so if you're keen to grab a bestie or even your mum to go you better snap them up quick!

Jemma says "It’s a powerful documentary, told from the point of view of Taryn as she traverses the globe talking to experts, women in the street and well-known personalities about the alarming rates of body image issues that are seen in people of all body types. In her affable and effervescent style, Taryn bares all (literally) to explore the factors contributing to this problem and seeks to find solutions."

Make sure you check out A Stylish Moment for all the info!

IT Cosmetics Tightline Full lash Length Primer - $38.00

You know how primer is killer under a base. Well it works just as well on your lashes. And really it takes an extra three seconds of your time. I also think it helps your mascara last longer and wear better throughout the day which is why I’ve been taking the extra three seconds in the morning to apply primer under my mascara. This is one by brand It Cosmetics which is the best ever and available at Sephora. It’s a teeny wand that does such a rad job at separating and lengthening lashes you can even use it on it’s own. However, pop mascara on top and your lashes will be like woah!

Lash Lifts at The Lab

Speaking of lashes, I’ve been obsessed with lash lifts since the girls at The Lab started selling them. I literally think they’re the best investment for mums and people who hate wearing mascara. It’s a semi-permanent treatment that curls your lashes and the girls pop on a quick tint which is especially good when you don’t have time in the AM for anything. With mascara though, your lashes end up looking next level. Big and curly like fakeys, but not as fake, if you get what I mean HA. Anyway, if you're after a little more info the girls have explained the treatment on the blog before HERE. It's seriously the greatest time saver!
